What we collect and why. And how to get out, if you want out.
Effective September 28, 2026.
workforce.ai is run by ChatJSH LLC, a Delaware limited liability company doing business as Workforce.ai. When this policy says we, that is who it means.
Questions about privacy go to jsh@workforce.ai. A person reads every one.
This policy covers two groups. The first is people who use workforce.ai: visitors, account holders, and developers using our API, MCP server, or CLI. The second is people whose professional histories appear in our panel. Part one covers the first group. Part two covers the second.
We log each page view. The log holds your IP address, an approximate location derived from it (country, region, city), the page, the referring site, any campaign tags in the link, your screen size, your browser's user agent, and a visitor code that resets daily.
We use this to see which pages work, where visitors come from, and which organizations are reading. We may look up the organization that owns an IP address. Visit logs are deleted after 90 days.
We also run Vercel Web Analytics. It does not use cookies and does not identify you.
Sign-in runs through Google. Google sends us your name, email address, and profile photo. We never see your Google password. We accept work email addresses only.
A signed-in session is kept in a single secure cookie, wf_session, for up to 30 days. Sign out and it is gone.
Your questions, our answers, and the charts behind them are saved to your account so you can come back to them. Before you sign in they are stored only in your own browser.
Questions are processed by our AI provider, Anthropic, to write answers. Anthropic handles them under its commercial terms, which do not use customer content to train its models by default. The data lookups needed to answer you go to our data providers. Those lookups carry the question's filters, not your name or email.
If you join the early access list we keep your email, when and where you signed up, and your browser type.
If you get an API key we keep a usage record: what was called, when, and how many records came back. That record is how we meter, cap, and bill. When paid plans launch, payments go through a payment processor. We never store card numbers.
We do not sell information about our visitors or customers.
Only the companies that help us run workforce.ai, and only what each needs:
We will also disclose information when the law requires it, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy travels with it.
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, export it, or delete your account and history. Write to jsh@workforce.ai. You can delete chats saved in your browser by clearing site data. You can unsubscribe from any email we send.
California residents have the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell it. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
People in the EU, UK, and similar jurisdictions have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability, and can complain to their data protection authority. We rely on contract (to provide the service you signed up for) and legitimate interests (to secure and improve it).
We answer requests within 30 days, or sooner where local law requires.
Data is encrypted in transit. Account data lives in private storage. Sessions are signed so they cannot be forged. No system is perfect. If something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.
workforce.ai is for working professionals. It is not directed to anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
The panel is a large sample of professional histories: names, employers, job titles, dates, locations, schools, and public profile links. It is how we measure hiring, departures, tenure, and where people go next.
It is built from publicly available information found through search engines, supplied by Live Data Technologies and other sources. Records are re-checked about every two weeks, so changes you make to a public profile flow through.
We do not log in to LinkedIn or any other site to collect data. We do not use fake accounts or borrowed session keys. Profiles set to private are left out. The panel is professional history. We do not seek out health, financial, or family information.
Most of what we publish is aggregate: headcounts, flows between companies, tenure, the mix of roles. No individual is identifiable in it.
Customers can also get person-level records for purposes like recruiting, sales outreach, research, and investment analysis. Our terms forbid using them to decide anyone's eligibility for a job, credit, insurance, or housing, and forbid harassment, discrimination, or surveillance of individuals.
Where EU or UK law applies, we rely on legitimate interests: helping people and organizations understand the labor market. We balance that against your interests by limiting what we collect, where it comes from, and what customers may do with it.
Email jsh@workforce.ai with the profile link or name and employer we should look for. We remove your record from the panel, stop delivering it to customers, and suppress it so it does not come back on the next refresh. We confirm within 30 days.
You can also ask to see what we hold about you, or to correct it. Opting out does not require an account and costs nothing.
We will update this page as the product grows. The date at the top changes when we do. If a change matters, account holders hear about it by email first.
